The inaugural departure of Train X9538 from Zhongding Logistics Park to Huangdao on July 1 marked the start of China Railway Taiyuan Group Co's operation of six scheduled multimodal transport trains weekly from Shanxi Zhongding Logistics Park to Tianjin, Qingdao, and Guangzhou.
Carrying 50 boxes of photovoltaic modules, X9538 is set to arrive at Qingdao Port's Huangdao Station on July 2 before being shipped to the Sultanate of Oman's Salaleh Port.

These multimodal transport trains, integrated into the railway timetable, offer rapid advantages with fixed routes, schedules, and train numbers. They effectively address traditional issues, such as delayed departures and uncertain delivery times, empowering Shanxi enterprises to proactively compete in the global market.
Gao Jianwen, director of operations at Shanxi Zhongding Logistics Group Co, noted that the train to Huangdao prioritizes loading, transport, and clearance, reducing transport time from an average of 48 hours to less than 22 hours. This benefits high-efficiency industries like photovoltaics and equipment manufacturing with same-day delivery.
Jiao Bin, director of the Shanxi office at Shandong Port Land-Sea International Logistics Group Co, explained that the "bus-like" operation of the trains allows companies to secure cargo space and rates in advance, which enhances logistics efficiency, accelerates capital turnover, and instills confidence in expanding domestic and international markets.
