Shanxi province has introduced four innovative 'Follow Wukong Tour Shanxi' themed travel routes for the summer tourism season, offering immersive experiences across 11 cities. 

The gourmet route highlights local delicacies such as Datong shaved noodles and Youyu salt-fried lamb, while the cultural route connects cultural sites like the Yungang Grottoes and Huayan Temple. A dedicated shopping route showcases regional handicrafts and souvenirs, and the landscape route features Shanxi's stunning natural scenery. 

The initiative capitalizes on the popularity of Black Myth: Wukong, offering interactive experiences such as traditional craft workshops to enhance visitor engagement. With upgraded on-site activities and special services at major attractions, the travel routes aim to extend visitor stays and deepen appreciation for Shanxi's 5,000-year history. 

Building on the successful integration of cultural IP into tourism development, the routes are designed to help travelers slow down and truly experience the attractions by offering a multidimensional travel experience combining food, history, shopping and natural wonders.
