On July 8, the "Dialogue · Dragon City - 2025 International Art Exhibition", jointly organized by the Shanxi Museum and the Sino-European Cultural and Art Alliance, opened at the Shanxi Museum. The exhibition will run until July 15.
Bringing together over 200 contemporary art pieces from more than 180 outstanding artists from 15 countries worldwide, the exhibition reflects the keen insights and unique interpretations of artists from diverse cultural backgrounds on the modern era, society, life, and the future.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: "Artistic Confluence", "Colorful Artistry", and "Artistic Continuity". The "Colorful Artistry" section features a special Shanxi segment showcasing the beauty of Shanxi through oil paintings, ink wash paintings, and more.
Artist Li Guoqiang's "Wukong Tours Shanxi", inspired by the popular game Black Myth: Wukong, skillfully integrates Shanxi's culture and tourism attractions, such as the Yungang Grottoes, Xuankong Temple, and Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, becoming one of the highlights of the exhibition.
During the opening event, an International Art Forum was held. Carlos Sablon, director of the French Comparative Salon, presented observations and reflections on international art frontiers. Shanxi Museum researcher An Ruijun focused on the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577) murals unearthed in Shanxi, highlighting Taiyuan's role as a key hub on the Silk Road and its cultural exchanges with Western countries.
This exhibition is not just a dialogue between history and modernity, East and West, and different artistic philosophies; it is also a dialogue between every viewer and the artworks, the artists, and their inner selves.
