Taiyuan to host energy low carbon development forum

The 2025 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum (TELC) is set to take place from Sept 27 to 28 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. Recognized as one of China's most influential national and international forums in the energy sector, the TELC has been held annually since its inception in 2016, marking this year as its ninth edition.
This year's forum will feature a "1+5+6+7" series of key events, covering a wide range of topics such as the traditional energy transition, innovation in energy technology, and the role of artificial intelligence in energy transformation. The aim is to create an international platform for smart exchanges, achievement sharing, and cooperative partnerships.
The forum will host five international conferences, including the Guest Country Forum with Cuba, the 15th Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Forum, and the Foreign-Invested Enterprises Roundtable. Additionally, there will be six parallel professional forums, such as the Energy Technology Innovation Development Forum, the "Building AI Zero-Carbon Resilient Cities" Forum, and the Hydrogen Energy Development Forum. Seven thematic activities, including technology showcases and green finance matchmaking, will also be held.
To date, 249 prominent guests from around the world have confirmed their attendance, including officials from 32 countries such as Hungary, Cuba, Italy, and Serbia, as well as 13 ambassadors to China from countries like Chile and the United States. Representatives from 15 international organizations and business associations, along with over 30 leaders of multinational companies, will also participate.
During the forum, six reports, including the "Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Competitiveness Report", will be released. Over 60 new products, technologies, and applications will be unveiled, and 14 technology showcases will be conducted by institutions like Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
